Keimyung College 3D Organon

The nursing department of Keimyung College University establishes a metaverse laboratory to raise high-tech talents.

The Department of Nursing at Keimyung College University, in Daegu, South Korea, established a VR Anatomy Lab for nursing education. Student nurses gain theoretical knowledge and clinical skills during nursing education; however, there is a gap between what they know and what they can immediately apply in an actual hospital scenario with patients.

3D Organon bridges this gap, enabling trainees to encounter simulated real-life situations effectively and to experience increasingly concrete situations. Also, 3-dimensionality enables better visualization of many fields of activity and can prevent potential future errors.

3D Organon is the world’s leading XR medical anatomy platform. It is available in 16 languages. The new 2022 edition of 3D Organon includes over 12.000 anatomical structures across 15 body systems, showcasing new features such as imaging, ultrasound VR simulator, histology slides, images, refactored body actions, new microscopic models, and new environments among others.

Keimyung College University has been striving to improve the quality of nursing education and achieve 100% passing the national exam for 4 consecutive years.

The 3D Organon VR Anatomy Lab used by the Keimyung College University nursing department was installed by VVR, a VR education company. VVR will expand its optimal VR education environment with various equipment and contents, including 3D Organon customized practice equipment.
